US Defense Secretary Hegseth confirmed as Vance casts deciding vote

  US Vice President JD Vance cast the tie-breaking vote in the Senate to confirm Pete Hegseth as Donald Trump's Defense Secretary following a deadlocked Friday evening vote. The former TV presenter becomes the third confirmed member of President Trump's cabinet by the slimmest of margins. Ira Spitzer reports.
