KwaZulu-Natal Premier Calls for Continued Support for Tongaat Residents After Tornado

In S.A, KwaZulu-Natal's premier ,Thami Ntuli has called for ongoing support for residents of Tongaat following a recent tornado. He urges social partners and donors to provide food aid. The storm caused extensive damage, killing twelve people and displacing over one-thousand-200 families, with losses exceeding 1.3-billion-rand. Ntuli stresses the urgency of rebuilding efforts to restore normalcy for affected residents:

S.A’s eThekwini Mayor Estimates Storm Damage Repairs at 481.7 Million Rand

In S.A, eThekwini's mayor, Mxolisi Kaunda, says the estimated cost of the repair of storm-damaged electricity, roads, and housing infrastructure is estimated at 481.7-million-rand.
