Tourism Sector Sustains Strong Growth

The Hospitality Association says the tourism industry continues to recover steadily, with third-quarter room and bed occupancy exceeding both 2024 and pre-pandemic figures. Room occupancy rose by 2% compared to last year and nearly 1% higher than in 2019, while September recorded a 4% rise to just over 66%. Gitta Paetzold, the Hospitality Association CEO:

Tourism recovery sees 60.3% occupancy rate in May 2024

International arrivals in the first quarter of 2024 reached 97% of 2019 levels, according to the United Nations World Tourism Organization and Simonis Storm.
