e-Visa System Launched to Ease Travel

A streamlined e-Visa system has been introduced by the Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security Ministry to simplify visa applications. The online service lets travelers apply in advance, reducing congestion at entry points. Delphin Ilunga, who serves on the Tour and Safari Association Board and as vice-chairperson of the Federation of the Tourism Association, praised the move.

New flights to link Windhoek to Botswana and Durban

Air Connect Namibia and Air Botswana will launch new flights connecting Windhoek with Maun, Kasane, and Gaborone, with the Gaborone service extending to Durban. Survey names Cape Town as Africa’s best airport

Cape Town’s airport has been named the best airport on the continent in a customer survey by the consumer ratings organisation Skytrax. Globally, the city is ranked 54th. According to BBC Africa, two other South African airports, Durban and Johannesburg, came second and third respectively in the continental listing. The airport in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa was ranked seventh in Africa and Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport came 10th.
