The prosecutor leading two of Donald Trump's criminal cases will step down before the president-elect takes office. Reports from the New York Times say Special counsel Jack Smith and his team plan to resign after winding down both federal cases facing the former president. Sally Patterson reports.

Trump reaches agreement on Sept 10th Harris debate

Former US president Donald Trump says he has reached an agreement to debate his rival Kamala Harris on Sept 10th. Trump's confirmation on his social media site Truth Social suggests the mics will remain muted as they were during his debate with Joseph Biden in June. From Washington, Nick Harper reports.
