Typhoon Gaemi has made landfall in southeastern China after barreling across the Taiwan Strait, prompting warnings of swelling rivers, flash floods and waterlogging in cities and provinces that were hit by torrential rain just several weeks ago. Laura Westbrook has more from Hong Kong.
A Tanzanian-flagged cargo ship with nine Myanmar nationals on board has sunk off the southern port city of Kaohsiung in Taiwan as a result of Typhoon Gaemi. Tropical Storm Gaemi has developed into a typhoon and will potentially make landfall in Taiwan's northeastern county of Yilan on Wednesday. It's expected to bring downpours to northern Taiwan and mountainous areas nationwide, as Laura Westbrook reports.
