UK Defence Sec Says “We Must Re-Arm Britain”

The UK's Defence Secretary has announced "we must re-arm Britain", as part of Monday's speech outlining reforms to the Ministry of Defence. John Healey's speech comes following Prime Minister Keir Starmer saying the UK faces a generational challenge and calling on European allies to spend more on defence, having been left out of talks between the US and Russia over the War in Ukraine. The police inspectorate has found Britain's biggest force is not adequately investigating crime or managing risks posed by sex offenders.
