UN warns of risks in DRC peacekeeping exit

The head of the United Nations peacekeeping mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo has warned against rushing the withdrawal of peacekeepers from the east of the DRC due to the ongoing violence between government forces and rebels. Bintou Keita made the call on the sidelines of the UN Security Council meeting in New York.

United Nations begins withdrawal from DRC
