US charges Syrians with war crimes

The United States has filed war crimes charges against two high-ranking Syrian military figures who it accuses of torturing American citizens. It comes after the government of Bashar al-Assad collapsed, with the former president fleeing the country. Nick Harper reports from Washington.

U.S charges man of Iranian plot to kill Donald Trump

  The United States has criminally charged a person in connection with an alleged plot, thwarted by the FBI, to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump. In a statement on Friday, the US Department of Justice said the man had been assigned by an Iranian government official to take part in a murder-for-hire plot before this week's election. As our Benji Hyer reports.
