Lawmakers in the United States Senate are planning to vote on a funding bill that would send billions of dollars in aid to Ukraine and Israel. US lawmakers have voted down legislation that would bring in new border restrictions and give aid to Ukraine and Israel. Senate Republicans blocked the bipartisan border deal and foreign aid package, by 50 votes to 49.Now, Democrats are trying to pass a revised bill which strips out the immigration measures and only includes aid. Senate votes against call for human rights report on Israel-Gaza conflict

The US Senate has rejected a resolution that would have required the State Department to report on human rights violations that possibly occurred, using American equipment in Israel’s war in Gaza. The resolution, which was rejected by 72 votes to eleven, was led by progressive independent Bernie Sanders who said that it was to limit the war’s devastation.
