U.S vetoes Palestine’s bid to join U.N

Palestine has not been admitted to the United Nations as a full member, following a Security Council vote. The United States vetoed the bid - as was widely expected. US finalizes new ceasefire resolution at the UN

A new ceasefire resolution might be voted on at the Security Council. The United States has finalised the draft which calls for international efforts to broker an immediate ceasefire as part of a hostage release deal. Jody Jacobs reports from the United Nations in New York.
