Algeria plans to table fresh ceasefire resolution at the Security Council

There's increasing calls for an urgent and immediate ceasefire in Gaza in the United Nations Security Council. The council convened a meeting on Wednesday at the request of Algeria to discuss the provisional measures announced by the International Court of Justice last week. It now plans to table a fresh ceasefire resolution in the coming days. Jody Jacobs reports from the United Nations in New York.

UN says still not enough aid getting into Gaza

The United Nations says its still facing many obstacles in getting sufficient humanitarian and medical aid into Gaza. Speaking to reporters from Jerusalem on Wednesday the UN's Humanitarian Coordinator for the Occupied Palestinian Territory says the situation keeps deteriorating further and Israeli authorities continue to stop these conveys. US condemns Iran strikes in Iraq

The United States has condemned Iran for missile strikes in northern Iraq, calling them "reckless and imprecise." Iran's Revolutionary Guards on Monday struck what they claimed were Israeli "spy headquarters" in Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdistan Region. Four civilians were killed. Benji Hyer reports.

Fresh US strike on Houthis in Yemen

The U.S. has launched a new strike against Houthi rebels in Yemen - the third attack on the Iran-backed group in recent days. According to the U.S. officials, it destroyed four Houthi ballistic missiles that presented an imminent threat to ships in the region. Kate Fisher reports from Washington.
