Last Blood Donation Clinics of the Year Set for December 14

The final Saturday clinics for the year will be held on tomorrow 14 December, in Windhoek, Walvis Bay, Okahandja, and Oshakati, with donations accepted from 08:00 to 15:00 at various locations. The Namibia Blood Transfusion Service encourages all healthy individuals aged 16 to 65 to donate, and in return, donors will receive a festive gift as a token of appreciation for their lifesaving contribution. Windhoek Extends Deadline for Voluntary Exchange of Katutura and Khomasdal Houses

Medical Interns Demand Overtime Pay or Halt Overtime Work

Over 300 medical interns are threatening to stop working overtime unless the government settles their outstanding overtime pay within five days. The interns, employed by the Health and Social Services ministry, staged a protest in Windhoek and submitted a petition to the Office of the Prime Minister. If their concerns remain unaddressed, they plan to limit their working hours to 40 hours per week, as per Health Professions Council guidelines.
