Labour Ministry finalises workplace safety Bill

The Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations, and Employment Creation has completed the Draft Bill on Occupational Safety and Health. The OSH Bill aims to ensure worker safety and health against workplace hazards and establish a reporting system for occupational incidents. Ministry spokesperson Jeremia Namalenga.

Trapped Indian tunnel workers face prolonged rescue

Forty workers have been trapped in a collapsed tunnel in India for more than a week now. Rescue operations have hit one snag after another and now officials say it could still be another 4 to 5 days before the trapped workers can be safely rescued.
