Namibian golfer Todd Parker (18) has once again put Namibia on the map in the USA after securing third position in the Quatro Amigo College golf tournament he competed in in San Angelo, Texas, last week. Parker who started college at Midland College in Texas in August had a score of 71, 70 (141) over his 36 holes to shoot 3-under par and secure a strong finish.

He finished just below Brendon Wiley (-7) from Western Texas College, who won the overall competition, and one of his teammates at Midland College, Oscar Holm-Bredkjaer (-6); placed second. “Overall, I am really proud of myself. It is a good feeling to know that I can compete against golfers from all over the world and beat them.

“Doing well on the course really boosted my confidence. I’m also proud of my college team for winning the overall team event, and I am happy that I was able to contribute the maximum of 6 points to help us secure the victory,” said Parker.
