The ANC has strongly denounced the recent leaks criticising its candidate selection process for the 2024 general elections. The party says the unauthorised statements were made by individuals who lack the official capacity. The ANC’s spokesperson, Mahlengi Bhengu-Motsiri, says such behaviour violates it’s values and principles and will not be tolerated, as the party embodies a rich tradition of democratic practices. Bhengu-Motsiri says the 2024 national and provincial ANC candidate nominations resulted from a meticulous process led by the electoral committee of the party.
