Legal Dispute Emerges Over Katutura Church Premises Following Archbishop Tjijombo’s Death

Less than six months after the passing of Archbishop Daniel Katikisa Tjijombo, a legal battle unfolds as two factions of the St John Apostolic Faith Mission find themselves in court, contesting ownership rights to the church premises in Katutura.
The St John Apostolic Faith Mission is taking its rival, the First St John’s Apostolic Faith Mission, to court, asserting its status as the registered owner of Erf 5837, where the church is located. The claim is based on the mission being the holder of a mortgage registered on the property.
