The Office of the Prime Minister has called for evidence of alleged corrupt practices by Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila in the appointment of the petroleum commissioner, Maggy Shino. The Namibia Press Agency reports that the Prime Minister’s office refuted social media allegations of favouritism and corrupt practices against Kuugongelwa-Amadhila adding that the appointment of Shino was done in compliance with the Public Service Act 13 of 1995 on matters of civil servants.
