US, Japan name China as hypothetical target of war games

Japan and the US are identifying China as the hypothetical target of ongoing Pacific based war games for the first time. The two countries are carrying out Operation Keen Edge in Tokyo and Hawaii this week as they look to improve their readiness to respond to conflict scenarios.
