The upcoming State of the Nation address is not only marking the end of the current term but also coincides with South Africa’s 30 years of freedom and democracy celebration, highlights the Presidency. Simultaneously, the EFF awaits a crucial court ruling on whether suspended members, including Julius Malema and Floyd Shivambu, can attend tonight’s SONA. Six EFF members were suspended for disrupting last year’s address, barring them from participating in the final SONA of the current administration. The party’s secretary-general, Marshall Dlamini, asserts their commitment to holding President Ramaphosa accountable.
