While celebrating their achievements and rewards for 2023 in the real estate industry at the annual Bank Windhoek Coastal Estate Agent Awards, estate agents said hard work and perseverance are essential for their business. The award ceremony took place on Friday, 5 April 2024, in Swakopmund.

Estate agents and agencies received recognition from Bank Windhoek and its conveyancing partners, Dr. Werder Kauta and Hoveka CC. The estate agents’ efforts add value to Namibians’ experience of attaining residential and commercial property and driving economic growth. The event further brings together and motivates industry members through a night of celebration for those who sell above three million and identifies the highest volume of transactions in the coastal area.

Bank Windhoek’s Head of Specialist Finance, Saara Shivute, commended the estate agents and developers for driving real estate business in the country’s coastal towns with Bank Windhoek as its financial partner. “As Namibia’s only fully owned financial services provider, Bank Windhoek is heavily invested in Namibia’s economic growth. Agents and developers play a major role in achieving the goal of helping customers purchase their property. Their hard work and dedication is commendable in uplifting their communities in this way,” she said.

Top achievers

Morne Henry Human from Human & Co Real Estate was awarded achiever of the year estate agents in first place. Human says he and his wife are dedicated business owners and work weekends to secure sales. “Amidst all this, we appreciate working with Bank Windhoek, where transactions are completed promptly with professional service,” he said.

Awarded as achiever of the year estate agents in second place was Claudia Lofty-Eaton of RAMOS Realtors Namibia. She says the real estate market had its fair share of challenges. However, her resilience and hard work carried her agency and business. “The market required us to think outside the box and be proactive in our approach to get buyers, but RAMOS Realtors Namibia is blessed with a fantastic team and incredible support and service from Bank Windhoek. The Bank understands our need to go the extra mile when required.”
