Airlines’ Profit Projections Improve for 2024

The International Air Transport Association has upgraded its profitability forecasts for airlines in 2024, surpassing its June and December 2023 projections. Despite this positive outlook, the global airline industry still struggles to achieve returns above the cost of capital. Net profits are expected to rise to $30.5 billion in 2024.
