Bank Windhoek appoints Shivute as Sales and Bancassurance Executive

On Friday, 31 May 2024, Bank Windhoek’s Managing Director, Baronice Hans, announced the appointment of Saara Shivute as the Bank’s Executive Officer of Sales and Bancassurance, effective 1 June 2024. Hans said that since joining Bank Windhoek in 2018 as Head of Specialist Finance, Shivute has been instrumental in driving the Bank’s success as part of its Growth Strategic Pillar.

As the Sales and Bancassurance Executive Officer, Shivute will foster the expansion of Bank Windhoek’s customer base by overseeing and executing the Bank’s sales strategy and spearheading the promotion of insurance products and Wills and Estates.

“Her high level of commitment and translation of strategy into business value has significantly contributed to our overall growth and success. Under her leadership, the Specialist Finance division achieved exponential growth, making us the market leaders in Instalment Sales and Leases and elevating our position in the Residential Mortgages market to second largest in the industry,” said Hans.

Shivute holds a Bachelor of Economics and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce in Business Management. Her extensive experience in leadership roles within the banking, microlending, telecommunications, and power industries has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of various sectors. Hans added that Shivute has effectively leveraged this knowledge to drive talent and business growth. Since 2022, Shivute has also served as a Non-Executive Director on the board of Welwitschia Insurance Brokers.
