On Wednesday, 5 June 2024, Bank Windhoek’s Chief Financial Officer, Zenaune Kamberipa, announced the appointment of Gideon Amakali as the Bank’s new Head of Management Accounting, effective 1 June 2024. “With his valuable experience in various industries, we are confident that Amakali will add further significant value to his new role and Bank Windhoek’s Finance Department,” said Kamberipa.

Kamberipa said that in his new role, Amakali will manage and control the management accounting processes within Bank Windhoek. “The position also involves extracting and assessing data, identifying interdependencies and relationships in the data, and reporting relevant financial information to inform decision-making.”

Previously, he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Namibia from 2017. Prior to his role in Namibia, he was an Assistant Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers United Kingdom, Aberdeen, Scotland.

He is qualified as a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) in Chartered Accountancy from North-West University, Potchefstroom, South Africa. Amakali has also completed an Advanced Leadership and Management Course at Shaw Academy, United Kingdom.

Kamberipa congratulated Amakali on his appointment and wished him all the best in his new role as Bank Windhoek’s Head of Management Accounting.
