Two Arrested for Possession of Illicit Fuel

Two individuals, aged 24 and 41, were arrested Wednesday afternoon for allegedly possessing illicit fuel. Chief Inspector ,Thomas Aiyambo from the Namibian Police’s Community Policing Sub-division in Oshana reported that the suspects were apprehended at a mobile police roadblock in Ondjondjo village on the Okatana-Onhuno main road. They were found with 62 containers, each holding 25 liters of smuggled fuel, transported in a Toyota pickup. The value of the fuel has yet to be determined. Both suspects are Namibian citizens from Olupandu village in the Omusati Region. Police investigations are ongoing.
