Landless People’s Movement (LPM) leader, Bernadus Swartbooi, stated that the party remains undisturbed and completely at ease following the resignation of the party’s second-in-command, Henny Seibeb, and secretary-general, Edson Isaacks.
In addition to Swartbooi’s remarks, the party issued a statement on Wednesday morning indicating that they are celebrating the departure of the two members from the National Assembly as well as the party.
When NewsOnOne asked how the departure would affect the party, he stated that it would have a positive impact and that the party will grow faster in all areas they have been deploying resources.
“As we have said yesterday that the party continues to grow, our mandate continues to be the same, and our commitment to get the party to total victory remains the same. So, we are undisturbed, we are undeterred, we are completely at ease as a party in terms of what we have done and where we are going. Even tomorrow, we’ll continue to have our massive planning meetings to ensure that we are able to give ourselves a good space of proper campaigning,” stated Swartbooi.
Swaartbooi made these remarks while registering for the Presidential and National Assembly elections, which will take place in November this year. Swartbooi, who was initially supposed to register at the University of Namibia (Unam) Khomasdal campus but was moved to Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), criticised the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) for the mishap.
