Oshikoto Regional Council Urges Engagement of Councillors in Regional Activities

Samuel Shivute, Chairperson of the Oshikoto Regional Council, emphasized the importance of ministries and agencies involving regional councillors in local activities. Shivute’s statement came during a meeting in Omuthiya, where he addressed issues arising from the Ministry of Gender Equality, Poverty Eradication, and Social Welfare’s failure to identify beneficiaries for its income-generating activities programme in the region. The programme aims to empower individuals and communities through support initiatives.
