The Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund has announced a generous donation of three critical pieces of medical equipment to Windhoek Central Hospital, valued at N$1.1 million. These machines are vital for providing quality care to patients and are expected to significantly enhance the hospital’s ability to deliver effective healthcare services.

The donated equipment includes:

  1. Intensive Care Unit Monitor: This device allows healthcare professionals to closely monitor patients’ vital signs and respond quickly to any changes in their condition, ensuring timely and appropriate medical intervention.
  2. Diathermy Unit: A versatile machine used for various surgical procedures, the diathermy unit is essential for precision and safety in medical treatments.
  3. Suction Machine: This critical tool is used to maintain patient safety during medical procedures by effectively clearing airways and preventing complications.

Comprehensive training on the maintenance and operation of these machines will be provided to hospital staff, ensuring their optimal use. The MVA Fund is confident that these high-quality, durable machines will provide years of reliable service, enhancing patient care and well-being.

The MVA Fund remains committed to supporting the government’s efforts to maintain and improve the country’s health facilities. As an institution that values life, the Fund is dedicated to supporting the healthcare sector and contributing to the well-being of the community and country.

The Fund’s collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Services has consistently yielded impactful results. This partnership, which began with donations of equipment and training for doctors, nurses, and ambulance drivers, has evolved into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The MOU aims to assist the Ministry in improving public health facilities.

Through this ongoing partnership, the MVA Fund continues to invest in the healthcare sector, ensuring that Namibians have access to the highest standards of medical care.
