Puma Energy is launching its “Go Africa” campaign, designed to reflect Africa’s diversity and Puma Energy’s mission to energise communities. The campaign is an effort to address the needs of African communities by leveraging technology and partnerships for reliable and affordable energy. Adell Samuelson, the General Manager of Puma Energy Namibia, also expressed her excitement about the ‘Go Africa!’ campaign and its potential to greatly benefit the Namibian community. She stated, “This campaign underscores our dedication to providing quality services safely and reliably wherever our customers require them. We are not just powering vehicles; we are driving progress and empowering communities, with a focus on prioritising our customers.”
Puma Energy operates a retail network of over 680 stations across Africa. The Swiss multinational mid- and downstream oil company, majority-owned by Singapore-incorporated Swiss company Trafigura, has operations in nineteen West, Central, and Southern African countries. Since entering the African market in Congo-Brazzaville in 2002, Puma Energy has expanded into Ghana, Mozambique, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Angola, becoming one of the largest investors in the sub-Saharan downstream sector. In September 2011, Puma Energy acquired BP’s downstream interests in Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, and Tanzania for US$296 million, adding a portfolio of retail assets, commercial and aviation fuel, lubricants, over 190 service stations, several storage depots, and an import terminal.
