The Government Institutions Pension Fund (GIPF) is thrilled to participate in the upcoming Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair (OATF) from August 23 to 31, 2024.

The Fund will offer a wide range of services to its active members, pensioners, spousal and children beneficiaries, including biometric enrolment and verification, membership status updates, pension benefits, claim procedures, and submission and claims status.

Members can also obtain benefit and income statement printouts and receive advice on preparing for retirement and other general queries.

GIPF is partnering with Ondangwa Private Hospital to provide wellness screenings to GIPF pensioners and visitors at the GIPF stand.

The wellness screenings will include general medical screenings for vitals such as blood pressure readings, Body Mass Index (BMI) calculations, cholesterol testing, prostate screening (rapid tests), chronic medication compliance, glucose testing, and more.

The Fund will also be joined by other partners, including Kuleni Financial Services, the Public Service Medical Aid Scheme (PSEMAS), and the Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA).

These partners will provide pension-related services pertaining to benefits, medical aid, and issues related to taxes.

In addition to the services provided during the OATF, the Fund is pleased to inform its members that it will be hosting pre-retirement workshops in Omuthiya on August 21, 2024, and in Oshakati and Ongwediva on August 28 and 29, respectively.

These pre-retirement workshops are aimed at members aged 50 to 59 years.

Members wishing to visit the GIPF at the OATF can find the Fund and its trade fair partners in a clearly branded marquee tent outside the Queens Hall.

“The GIPF’s values of service excellence and care drive the Fund to ensure that we bring our services closer to our members,” said Edwin Tjiramba, General Manager of Marketing and Stakeholder Engagement.

GIPF’s participation in the OATF will enhance member experience and improve stakeholder engagement as the Fund strives to be a member-centric pension fund.
