All set for the fourth Nedbank Citi Dash this Sunday

The fourth edition of the Nedbank Citi Dash is set to take place this Sunday, 8 September, at Zoo Park along Independence Avenue in Windhoek. This event has quickly become a beloved part of the local running calendar, promoting a spirit of community and fitness among participants of all ages and abilities. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or a first-time runner, the Citi Dash offers something for everyone with its variety of race categories, including a 5 km fun run/walk, a 10 km fun run/walk, and a 10 km Elite run.

The races will kick off at 07:30 with the 10 km Elite runners starting first. The 5 km and 10 km fun run/walk will follow at 08:30. Prize money will be awarded to top runners in several classifications:

– 10 km Elite men
– 10 km Elite women
– Elite under-18 men
– Elite under-18 women
– Wheelchair category
– Visually impaired category
– School runners category
– Running club/Federation category

All races will start and finish at Zoo Park, across from the new Nedbank Campus. The route heads south to Ausspannplatz, around Snyman Circle, then back up Independence Avenue, passing Zoo Park, and continuing north. The 5 km race will turn around near the Engen service station, while the 10 km runners will continue to the Simon De Witt Bridge, circle the fire department, and return to Zoo Park.

Registration and race number collection will take place on Saturday, 7 September, at the Nedbank Campus at the corner of Fidel Castro and Rev Michael Scott Streets from 10:00 to 15:00. All participants must collect their race numbers to compete on Sunday.
