Russia vetoes Security Council resolution on Sudan

Background

 

Russia has vetoed a resolution in the United Nations Security Council on Monday on protection of civilians in Sudan. The United Kingdom has labelled this move by Russia, a permanent member of the council, an “enemy of peace”. Jody Jacobs reports from the United Nations in New York.
