Grootfontein Shuts Bars for Nujoma Memorial

As Grootfontein prepares to host the fifth regional memorial service for the late Founding Father, Dr. Sam Nujoma, all bars and shebeens have been ordered to remain closed today and tomorrow as a sign of respect. Otjozondjupa Police Regional Commander, Commissioner Philip Hindengwa, and Grootfontein Municipality Mayor, Talitha Namati Garises, confirmed the directive and urged residents to honor Nujoma’s legacy, stating that alcohol sales will only resume once his remains leave the town on Tuesday
