M23 Rebels Abduct Over 130 Patients from Hospitals in Eastern Congo

The United Nations has reported that Rwanda-backed M23 rebels launched an offensive in eastern Congo, abducting at least 130 sick and wounded individuals from two hospitals in Goma last week. According to UN Human Rights Office spokesperson Ravina Shamdasani, as per Reuters reports, M23 fighters raided CBCA Ndosho Hospital and Heal Africa Hospital on the night of February 28, seizing 116 and 15 patients, respectively.
