Development Bank of Namibia CEO resigns

The Development Bank of Namibia (DBN)‘s Chief Executive Officer, John Steytler has resigned from his position with immediate effect. This was announced by DBN in a statement issued today.

The bank noted that Steytler has decided to pursue new interests and opportunities.

The board in the statement expressed its appreciation for the commitment and drive with which Steytler led DBN during his tenure.

Steytler served as CEO since September 2023.

The board will commence the recruitment process of the substantive CEO immediately.

DBN noted that in the interim, John Mbango, Head of Coverage and Large Transactions, a seasoned executive, will act as CEO of bank until further notice
