NATIONAL BUDGET: Finance minister Ericah Shafudah said the operational budget is estimated at N$79.8 billion, growing by 2.3 percent over the financial year 2024/25 mid-term estimates.

Shafudah said to continue addressing infrastructure bottlenecks that weigh against the country’s growth potential, the development budget has increased by 22.6 percent to N$12.8 billion from the revised estimates for the financial year 2024/25.

She added that this is inclusive of N$3.2 billion in projects financed outside the State Revenue Fund. “As a ratio of GDP, the development budget is equivalent to 4.6 percent, an improvement from 4.2 percent in the prior year.”
