More than 3,000 Grade 9, 11, and 12 learners in the Khomas Region are expected to attend a three-day career guidance fair hosted by the Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA), Khomas Regional Council, and #BeFree Youth Campus from 16 to 18 July at the Sam Nujoma Stadium. Themed “Future Ready: Charting Paths to Success and Opportunity,” the initiative provides credible, accurate information on further education, TVET, and accredited institutions to empower young people to make well-informed career choices before crossing critical academic thresholds.
NQA’s Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager Lina Ndengu says that equipping learners with the tools to navigate future uncertainty can improve their mental resilience.
Khomas Regional Education Director Paulus Nghikembua echoed this sentiment, noting that self-awareness and goal-setting are key to building confidence amid an unpredictable world.
The #BeFree Youth Campus, known for its community-driven approach to youth development—including STEM, health, and life-skills programming—will staff booths alongside NQA, providing on-site support, mentorship, and educational materials.
