Sean “Diddy” Combs will be sentenced on 3 October 2025, following his conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. The charges stem from a federal trial in which Combs was found guilty of orchestrating interstate sexual encounters involving male escorts and his former girlfriends, which he filmed. Each count carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.

CBS News reports that federal prosecutors have recommended a sentence of 11 years and three months, citing Combs’s lack of remorse and the severity of the offenses. They described him as “unrepentant”. In contrast, Combs’s defense team is seeking a sentence of no more than 14 months, emphasizing his time already served and arguing that the acts were consensual.

Combs was arrested in September 2024 and has been held in federal custody since. He was acquitted of more serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, but was convicted on the Mann Act violations. A judge recently denied his request for a new trial, stating that the prosecution had presented “overwhelming evidence” of his guilt.

The sentencing is scheduled for October 3, 2025, in Manhattan federal court.
