Henties Bay couple nabbed with N$618 000 drugs

A 53-year-old man and his alleged 41-year partner were arrested in Henties Bay on Thursday after police discovered a large quantity of drugs valued at N$618 910.

According to Erongo police, the suspects were arrested at house Erf number 500, Libertina Amadhila Street in Henties Bay, following a tip-off.

Subsequently, an undercover operation was launched, leading to the discovery of the illegal substances.

The drugs confiscated include 8 821 grams of cannabis, 1 467 full, five (5) half and four (4) quarter of mandrax tablets as well as four (4) blocks and four (4) units of crack cocaine.

Both suspects are expected to appear before the Swakopmund Magistrate’s Court either on Friday or Monday, while police investigations are ongoing.
