The Blood Transfusion Service of Namibia is still currently experiencing a shortage of blood says
Supervisor of Marketing and Donor Relations, Titus Shivute, explaining that the country currently only has five days of blood supply banked. According to Shivute, the Service needs “over 170 blood donations daily in order to meet the demand for blood in hospitals”, with 9-12 days of supply banked being ideal.
