Human Rights Watch Says RSF Accused of Widespread Sexual Violence in Sudan

Sudan’s paramilitary, Rapid Support Forces have been accused of committing extensive sexual violence, including gang rapes and forced marriages, in the capital Khartoum during their conflict with the armed forces, according to a report by Human Rights Watch released on Monday as per Reuters. The report also mentioned some attacks attributed to the army, with the RSF allegedly holding women and girls in conditions that may constitute sexual slavery and assaulting them in front of their families. The RSF and the army have been in conflict since April 2023.
