The Development Bank of Namibia (DBN) on Thursday officially launched its 2025 Young Professionals Programme (YPP).

The flagship recruitment and development initiative is aimed at nurturing the next generation of development finance professionals in Namibia.

This year marks the largest intake in the programme’s history, with eight outstanding graduates onboarded following a rigorous national recruitment and assessment process.

Speaking at the launch, DBN CEO, John Mbango emphasized the programme’s role in advancing national development.

Mbango added that this cohort represents a new wave of future specialists, well-positioned to close the skills gap in Namibia’s financial and economic sectors.

The programme is designed to transition academic excellence into industry expertise, equipping young Namibians with the skills needed to support DBN’s strategic priorities and the country’s socio-economic transformation.
