Windhoek is currently hosting the 10th African Competition and Economic Regulation Week at the Hilton Hotel, bringing together some of the continent’s leading regulators, academics, and practitioners. The two-day conference, held from 2 to 3 October, provides a platform for experts to present research, exchange ideas, and debate critical issues affecting competition and economic regulation across Africa.

The event features high-level panels and keynote speakers addressing challenges and emerging trends in regulation and competition. Participants will explore innovative solutions, share best practices, and discuss strategies for enhancing economic fairness and regulatory effectiveness across the region.

Speaking on the occasion, Dina //Gowases, spokesperson for the Namibian Competition Commission, said the conference is a space for knowledge exchange and collaborative policy development.
