today13 October, 2025

Background

Tensions remain high at the City of Windhoek Customer Care Centre in Katutura after residents of Eiland, frustrated by years of sewage-related stench, dumped waste outside the offices early this morning. By the time of this broadcast, resident spokesperson Shaun Gariseb reported that no senior city officials were on site, with eight police vans present to monitor the situation.
