Over 22 schools in the Oshana, Omusati, and Ohangwena regions have suspended classes due to flooding water streams. The Electricity Control Board (ECB) says eight people died, and five others were hospitalised in 17 incidents involving the electricity supply industry. The Namibian athlete Beatrice Masilingi suffered an injury just before her race at the World Athletics Indoor Championship in China. Masilingi who reported fell, injured her shoulder while warming up, forcing her to withdraw from her heat. Coach Henk Botha confirmed that Beatrice Masilingi’s shoulder was successfully put back in place and she is recovering well and feeling much better. By Petrus Amutenya
