Britain votes in an election expected to give Labour a landslide

Britain is voting in a general election expected to overthrow the Conservative Party and hand its rival Labor Party a landslide. Polls close at ten pm local time- a series of final polls suggest Sir Kir Starmer is on course to win a House of Commons majority of more than 200- beating Tony Blair’s win in 1997. U.S and ‘Five Eyes’ allies warn China courting Western military trainers

The U.S, Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand have warned that China was circumventing measures aimed at stopping its recruitment of current and former Western military pilots to train the Chinese military. The Five Eyes intelligence-sharing alliance said Western recruits who train the People's Liberation Army would increase the risk of future conflict. As Laura Westbrook reports.

U.K food regulator increases scrutiny on Indian spices amid concerns over contaminant

Britain is now tightening scrutiny of ALL Indian spice imports after several countries raised alarm over possible contaminants in two major spice brands' products. Singapore and Hong Kong have already halted import of some spices from India, while Australia and the US are investigating these products for higher than permissible use of pesticides. UN condemns death sentences in Ukraine

The UN human rights office has expressed concern at the sentencing to death of a Moroccan man and two Britons by a Russian proxy court in eastern Ukraine, saying such trials against prisoners of war amounted to a war crime.
