John Steenhuisen, leader of South Africa's DA, has characterized President Cyril Ramaphosa's State of the Nation address as a compilation of recycled promises. With this being the last address before the upcoming general elections, Steenhuisen claims that none of the promises made in Ramaphosa's previous five speeches have been fulfilled. He asserts that no practical, effective legislation has been presented in Parliament to materialize the proclaimed "new dawn."
