Voting kicks off for 93 parliamentary seats in phase 3 of India’s national elections

India’s election commission ‘declines comment’ on Modi hate speech

India's election commission - the independent body that conducts polls in the country - is facing flak for failing to act against a hate speech made by incumbent Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Over the weekend, Modi told an election rally that his opponents would distribute the country's wealth to 'infiltrators' if voted back to power, a reference to the country's minority Muslim community.
