United Nations suspends food distribution in Rafah

The United Nations has suspended food distribution in the southern Gaza city of Rafah due to a lack of supplies and an untenable security situation caused by Israel's expanding military operation. The UN’s Scott Anderson says they are now re-evaluating logistics and security measures in Gaza.

International Court of Justice holds hearings over Rafah offensive

The International Court of Justice is holding a hearing over South Africa's demands that Israel halt its offensive in Rafah. Late last year Pretoria brought a case against Israel to the UN's top court accusing it of violating the genocide convention. Allegations Israel has denied. U.N staffer killed in Gaza, an Indian national

The first foreign UN worker killed in Gaza has been identified as an Indian national. 46 year old Waibhav Anil Kale was killed in Gaza when the vehicle he was travelling in came under attack in Rafah. Jody Jacobs reports for us from the United Nations in New York.

Israel Expands Operations In Both North and South of Gaza

Fierce fighting is being reported in Jabalia, northern Gaza as Israeli troops attempt to recapture an area they initially claimed to have taken from Hamas months ago. This at the same time as hundreds of thousands of Palestinians flee Rafah, as Israel's military operation in the South of Gaza intensifies, despite pressure from the US. Sarah Coates reports for us from Tel Aviv.
