Britain's Home Secretary James Cleverly has signed an international agreement with Rwanda, guaranteeing the safety of asylum seekers. He hopes this will sufficiently address the main concerns of the Supreme Court, which ruled the policy illegal in its original form last month. Stuart Smith has more from London.
UK Home Secretary James Cleverly is in Rwanda to sign a treaty with the country to see some asylum seekers sent there to process their claims. While the opposition Labour party says the plan is an expensive 'gimmick', immigration minister Robert Jenrick insists the treaty is an important moment in cutting illegal immigration.
